About Lie-Nielsen No. 7 1/2 bench planes

Lie-Nielsen Toolworks is an American maker based in Warren, Maine, producing new hand tools since the 1980s. The bulk of its output is bench and block planes in ductile iron and manganese bronze, patterned largely on Stanley and Bedrock designs, along with the Independence-derived brass-back dovetail and tenon saws seen here. Bronze castings, small sizes such as the No. 1 and No. 2, discontinued variants like tiger maple handles, and engraved or special-run pieces sit above the standard models; original box, unrusted sole and iron, and intact rosewood or cherry totes and knobs matter most on the rest.

The 9 sales behind these figures come from Jim Bode Value Guide (8) and Jim Bode Tools (1), and run from 2021 to 2026; 1 closed in the last twelve months.
