About P.S. & W.
P.S. & W. is Peck, Stow & Wilcox, an American firm based in Connecticut that produced edge tools, braces, and tinsmiths' tools from the late nineteenth century into the twentieth. Chisels are the bulk of the recorded work here, and the sample leans toward heavy timber-framing sizes along with corner chisels, slicks, draw knives, and the Samson and Permaloid braces. Large framing chisels and slicks in wide widths, laminated blades, unused new old stock, rosewood-handled braces, and clear maker stamps bring more; shortened or reground blades, pitting, split handles, and mushroomed strike ends bring less.
