About Barr chisels

Barr Specialty Tools is a contemporary American maker of hand-forged edge tools, working out of Idaho. The output centers on heavy timber-framing chisels, slicks, gouges, drawknives and adzes, and the framing chisels, 2 1/2 and 2 3/4 inch slicks, chair maker's gouges and adzes here are typical of that line. Larger slicks and the wider framing chisels sit above the small sizes, and a drawknife that keeps its original leather sheath is worth more than a bare blade.
