About Fulton chisels
Fulton was an American hardware brand used by Sears, Roebuck, with the actual tools made under contract by established firms such as Millers Falls and the Stanley-owned Union works. The recorded sales lean toward bench planes, mostly small No. 2 size smoothers, alongside edge tools like draw knives, a timber framing slick, saws and boring bits. Value follows the maker behind the badge and the survival of markings, so a No. 2 smoother with an intact decal or a plane traceable to Millers Falls or Union stands above an unmarked one; clean steel, full length blades and unworn draw knife edges matter more than the brand itself.
The 1 sale behind these figures comes from Jim Bode Value Guide (1), all in 2020. 2 listings for sets, pairs or lots of Fulton chisels were left out, because a set's price is not one tool's price.
