About Jorgensen block planes

Jorgensen is the clamp brand of the Adjustable Clamp Company of Chicago, which also sold tools under the Pony name. The line is built around wooden handscrews with paired steel spindles, along with bar and pipe clamps, and those clamping tools are the core of what turns up in the used market. Value tracks jaw length and clamping capacity, matched sets over odd singles, and whether the wooden jaws are clean and unsplit with threads that still run freely; rust, stripped spindles, glue-caked jaws, and missing swivel nuts pull an example down.
