About Blue Spruce knives

Blue Spruce Toolworks is a current American maker of small bench and layout tools, founded by Dave Jeske in Oregon and later taken over by Chris Kuehn. The chisels, mallets, marking knives and squares recorded here are the core of the line, along with the dovetail and paring chisels, Baby Bevels and dovetail saws in the sample. Unused examples still coated in the factory wax, with their original boxes and sleeves, hold the most value, as do figured or exotic handle woods such as cocobolo and tiger maple. Complete matched sets beat odd sizes, and sharpening damage, handle dents or rust on blades and burnishers pull an example down.

The 17 sales behind these figures come from Jim Bode Value Guide (12) and Jim Bode Tools (5), and run from 2022 to 2026; 6 closed in the last twelve months. 1 listing for sets, pairs or lots of Blue Spruce knives was left out, because a set's price is not one tool's price.
