About Sandvik hand saws
Sandvik is a Swedish steel producer whose hand tool division turned out saws through much of the twentieth century. Among the recorded tools, hand saws dominate: rip and crosscut panel saws in numbered lines such as the No. 277 and No. 288, brass-backed tenon saws, and the No. 312 offset dovetail saw. Unused examples still in their original wrappers, with clean plates, crisp etching and unmolested handles, sit at the top; pitted or shortened plates, missing teeth and replaced handles pull value down, and the brass-backed and offset dovetail patterns hold more interest than plain panel saws.
The 21 sales behind these figures come from Jim Bode Value Guide (21), and run from 2020 to 2026; 1 closed in the last twelve months. 1 listing for sets, pairs or lots of Sandvik hand saws was left out, because a set's price is not one tool's price.
