About Sandvik 26 inch hand saws

Sandvik is a Swedish steel producer whose hand tool division turned out saws through much of the twentieth century. Among the recorded tools, hand saws dominate: rip and crosscut panel saws in numbered lines such as the No. 277 and No. 288, brass-backed tenon saws, and the No. 312 offset dovetail saw. Unused examples still in their original wrappers, with clean plates, crisp etching and unmolested handles, sit at the top; pitted or shortened plates, missing teeth and replaced handles pull value down, and the brass-backed and offset dovetail patterns hold more interest than plain panel saws.

The 9 sales behind these figures come from Jim Bode Value Guide (9), and run from 2020 to 2026; 1 closed in the last twelve months. 1 listing for sets, pairs or lots of Sandvik 26 inch hand saws was left out, because a set's price is not one tool's price.
