About Emmert vises

Emmert Manufacturing of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania made vises from the late 19th century into the 20th. The name is tied to patternmaker's vises whose jaws tilt and swivel to hold odd-shaped work, and the company also produced machinist's vises like the small Byers-patent example here. Value follows size and model, with the large patternmaker's vises above the small machinist patterns, and depends on intact jaws and screws, working tilt and swivel action, no weld repairs, and readable patent casting.

The 1 sale behind these figures comes from Jim Bode Value Guide (1), all in 2022.
