About Norlund axes

Norlund was an American axe brand of the mid-to-late 20th century, with heads produced by the Mann Edge Tool Company in Pennsylvania. The line is known almost entirely for camp axes and hatchets sold under pattern names, and the Voyageur, Hudson Bay, Trailblazer and double-bit Saddle Cruiser heads in the sample cover most of what was offered. Value tracks pattern and condition: the double-bit Saddle Cruiser and Trailblazer turn up less often than the Voyageur and camp hatchets, a crisp stamp matters, and a head that still has its original haft, leather sheath and full bit length is worth more than a reground or heavily pitted one.

The 6 sales behind these figures come from Jim Bode Value Guide (3) and Ted Dawson Antique Tools (3), and run from 2022 to 2025; 1 closed in the last twelve months.
