About True-Temper axes

True Temper is an American brand of the American Fork & Hoe Company, which absorbed the Kelly Axe works and used the name through the twentieth century on striking and digging tools. Among the tool types here, axes and hatchets are the mainstay, in both single- and double-bit patterns. Value follows the head stamp and line, with Kelly-marked and Flint Edge heads above the plain Woodslasher grades; deep cheeks, an unthinned bit, clear etching or paper labels, and a sound original handle all add.
